WHO WE ARE
Zurbuch Construction is a local, family-owned company founded in 2005 by David Zurbuch. For nearly two decades, we have been bringing clients’ visions to life throughout Chapel Hill and Durham, delivering thoughtfully executed remodels, additions, and custom builds.
Our work focuses on high-end residential projects where quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail matter. Every home or workspace we build is shaped by the unique goals, lifestyle, and personality of the people who will use it. We believe great construction is not just about materials and methods, but about listening carefully and executing with intention.
Collaboration is central to how we work. We maintain close relationships with many of the area’s architects, designers, and trade partners, approaching each project as a true team effort. By treating our clients and collaborators as partners, we create spaces that are both technically sound and deeply personal—built to last and designed to be lived in.
The founder, David Zurbuch, passed away in January of 2024, leaving the business to his wife and their family of five children. Today, the company is led by Amy and Jacob Zurbuch —Dave’s wife and their oldest son—who are guiding the business forward and into its next chapter. They look forward to continuing to grow Zurbuch Construction and bringing beauty and function to homes and businesses throughout Chapel Hill and Durham as a legacy to Dave’s memory.
